Tina K. Lee
Principal Lawyer, Lee Workplace Law
Tina is an employment lawyer and business litigator with nearly 15 years' legal practice experience. She founded Lee Workplace Law after having practiced law in large full-service firms and leading employment law boutique firms.
Tina's expertise is in relation to the workplace. She acts for employers and employees. With experience "on both sides", she advises clients tactically based on what "the other side" would do. As a result of this, she is an excellent resource for businesses and employers on strategic human resources and workplace planning.
Tina's practice covers most jurisdictions in Canada with emphasis in Ontario and Alberta. She advises smaller and medium sized businesses, and has familiarity in common workplace concerns that employers may be faced with in Canada. She also advises multinational clients that operate cross boarders, where she serves as Canadian Counsel to help ensure their local legal compliance in the workplace.
Tina's practice includes the following:
- advising on day-to-day workplace concerns and providing input on human resources planning;
- drafting workplace policies and contracts;
- resolving workplace privacy concerns and workplace harassment complaints;
- advising on employment and workplace issues relating to M&As and restructures;
- delivering interactive workplace training; and
- litigating cases involving wrongful dismissal, human rights, and non-competition and non-solicitation disputes.
Tina is one of the very few litigators in the GTA who are perfectly fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
Tina is passionate about being involved in the community. Currently she serves as a Law Society of Ontario Approved Coach for young lawyers. She is also a frequent speaker on trending employment law issues for the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and other HRPA accredited seminars.
